SLANG!
Slang is very informal languege which is often used by young pepole,this language evolve in the time.Livining in a multicultural society has en effect on language especially on the young,whose friends are often from a mix backgrounds,tv and music have a big impact. Not everybody uses slang and not everybody likes it. When British people use language like this it's no a surprise that some say that can't understand.
